Tony's Evolution of Structural Components of a Potential System to Meet TA 1 Requirements
I
looked at the work that Tim and I have done on this blog so far and
compared it to the TA 1/TA2 lists of requirements and decided that I
would put together this set of two drawings showing a potential system
that could do the work (provided cleaner definitions of the boxes and
requirements).
The diagrams may be expounded upon in the future. This just gives us a starting point for discussion.

Information System: All conversations across all social media are
converted to a textural representation, tracked and examined. The
results go to a discriminator, which tosses out irrelevant conversations
and identifies participants and effects. The results of the
discriminator go to the participants components (see below) and the
classifier. The information classifier uses the meme taxonomy to
isolate memes of interest to the SMiSC program. Those results go to an
aggregator stage, which finds duplicates and can track memes from first
appearance to worn out levels and can show the rate of information
spread. A GUI uses the aggregator results to make a report that is
visible to SMiSC System Users. |

Participant System: The results of the information system's
discriminator get fed into a participant aggregator. This aggregator is
looking for users and groups that have similar members across the same
or many social media platforms. The aggregator tracks groups from
inception and can show the rate of group formation and activity. A GUI
uses the aggregator results to make a report that is visible to the
SMiSC System Users. |
